Chapter History
Point Pleasant Order of Eastern Star held its first meeting on May 10th., 1915. Quoting minutes “In pursuance of a dispensation granted by the Grand Chapter of the State of West Virginia, Order Eastern Star bearing date the fourteenth day of April, 1915, at which Anna Hoffman, WGM and O.C. Luvic, WGP were present.”
The Grand Patron called J. J. Dunner to the chair who stated that the purpose of the meeting was to institute Point Pleasant Chapter U.D.
The minutes dated Oct. 18th 1915, states “ a letter from Grand Secretary, Ella M. Barurs, stated that the Charter had been granted, and that we would be Point Pleasant Chapter #75.
