Chapter History
At Williamson WV, on the 17th day of April, A.D. 1908, Sister Alice 0. Roberson, duly deputized by Brother Stephen Waterhouse Jr., Grand Patron of the order of the eastern star of the state of West Virginia, instituted Elizabeth chapter, U.D., Order of the Eastern Star by the authority to the following dispensation.
I, Stephen Waterhouse Jr. Grand Patron of the Eastern Star of the State of West Virginia, do hereby constitute and appoint Sister Elizabeth Chafin, Worthy Matron and Sister Anna White, Associate Matron, together with all such brothers and sisters as are now and may hereafter become members a chapter of the order of The Eastern Star, by dispensation by the title of Elizabeth Chapter which have full power to confer degrees, and to perform all other things pertaining to a chapter working under a charter from the Grand Chapter except to elect and to instate officers.
Given under the hand of Stephen Waterhouse Jr., Grand Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star of West Virginia, and the seal of the said Grand Chapter, this 14th day of April 1908, A.D.

A. Special meeting was called by the worthy matron for Tuesday, evening April 21, A.D. 1908, for the purpose of improving ourselves in the mysteries of the order. No further business the chapter was closed in due form. Elizabeth Chafin, Worthy Matron, W. W.. Furnell, Secretary
