Chapter History
Milton Chapter no. 149 Order of the Eastern Star was instituted on July 11, 1952. There were 43 charter members and the first officers were Mattie Smith, Worthy Matron and O.C. Campbell, Worthy Patron.
What has become an annual fundraising event, the Milton Chapter No. 149 participates in the Milton Pumpkin Festival every October by selling homemade pumpkin pies. This event allows the chapter to not only raise the funds to distribute to the many charities chosen by the chapter over the years but it allows the members of Milton Chapter No. 149 the opportunity to mingle and enjoy the many people who travel to this wonderful event every year.
