Chapter History
In the fall of 1923 some citizens of Mullens met for the purpose of exploring the Organization of a chapter of The Order Of The Eastern Star in Mullens, WV. Mount Hope Chapter-Winolia #59-was asked to help in this endeavor. On November 23, 1923, the first officers were installed in Mullens Chapter #100. Winolia Chapter conducted the installation.
On our 80th birthday we invited Mount Hope (Winolia #59) to our meeting. We presented them with a plaque in appreciation for all the help they had given us.
Hubert McKinney served this chapter more than twenty years as Worthy Patron He was serving that office when he expired in 2007.
